Fifteen Hours and 90 days

So, everyone said that the last semester would be a cake walk. Everyone lied. I haven't been this busy since sophomore year and the second round "weed out " courses. Did I mention that I am only taking 15 hours. I am busier now than when I was taking 18. It may have something to do with the fact that, while it is 15 hours, it is 7 classes. Admittedly 5 hours of it are voluntary. However, I had to have at least 12 to keep my insurance, so taking the extra hours wasn't completely a masochistic decision.

Anyway, I went to the career fair and gave out 7 resumes. A few companies looked interested. If I went by the companies at the job fair alone, I'm most likely to end up in or near Atlanta. While this is still in the south, it is not Clemson and it is not the "armpit of culture". A few companies had offices all over the country, so I guess I could end up anywhere. The prospect is both scary and exciting. I am looking other places than the career fair. I posted my resume on Monster.com, which thus far is a total bust. I grabbed a Charleston paper last time I was down there to look at the classifieds and today I am going to apply online for a job with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This doesn't seem like enough possibilities to actually get me a job, so I'll hopefully figure out a few more avenues hopefully. I only have 90 days to graduation.

That is life of Beth right now.

2175 hours?

Graduation is fast approaching! Goodness that's much sooner than I had believed. It's all such exciting good new.

I believe Dave and Sue had a suggestion or two for Charleston. Can't imagine why they'd want ya down here...

My only advice (if there was any reason to trust me) is jut to stay busy and not worry about the outcome. Keep looking and applying, and don't stress too much over any single company.

Love and Support and Hugs! No matter where you end up.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I am your secret admirer, a one eyed pirate ninja monkey... of love! My colors are crimson and pink to represent the blood I shed and the love I keep... for YOU!

Please accept these severed heads as a token of my affections. One day, I shall remove my mask and give you a kiss.

Well, severed heads aside, I never had ANY luck with any internet employment site of any kind. I have no worries whatsoever of Ms. Brainiac's employment potential! Don't worry - enjoy your last few days of freedom!

I don't know that I'd call it freedom exactly. I am busier now than when I had my CO-OP job. I prefer to think of it as my last few days of not being paid.
