Cons and Cakes
So first, I will post a couple of pics of Arnold's Birthday Party. I was rather proud of the cakes. I ordered a Mario Bros. cake pan and turned it into a "Gayuigi" cake. "Gayuigi" is what Arnold calls the pink and red costumed version of Luigi in Super Smash Bros. Since he wanted a Strawberry birthday cake, pink seemed fitting. I also made cupcakes in various Mario Bros. shapes. There was food and fun and gaming and only a few casualties when Hope posed and took the faces off of 3.5 cupcakes.

Then there was DragonCon. We were driving through Ernesto to get there. I don't think it was back up to a hurricane, but it dropped rain on us for a lot of the drive to Atlanta. Once in Atlanta, we had much fun in costume going to panel and playing games. Arnold and I sat in on one of the Firefly panels, the Ray Park light saber demonstration, and the Evil Geniuses for a Better Tomorrow to name a few. Arnold, Roger, Will and I were in the parade. The parade was quite fun, even if we did have to get up a bit early. Dave was a trooper. He was getting over a very nasty cold and somehow managed to have a great time anyway. We met up with a number of different friends during the con, but getting everyone together proved impossible. I think one of the most enjoyable things was sitting in Ken and Rebecca's hotel room watch the Masquerade (read: Gong show costume contest where storm troopers kick you off the stage). We had tons of fun making fun of it.
I liked how my Queen of Hearts costume turned out. The Fairy of Envy, however, was a different story. The wings I made wouldn't behave, so I bought new ones. I didn't realize just how low the green top was until I saw the pictures. If I wear it again, I think I will pin it to the shirt. I wore Converse Sneakers with checkered laced with all of my costumes because I am not sturdy enough to wear heels around a con.
Roger dressed as a Satyr, Will as an inquisitor from Mutant Chronicles, Arnold as a variety of things and Dave as a Viking. I have to tell you, it is a lot of fun going around a Con saying things like "I've lost my Viking" I've posted some pictures below along with a link to Arnold's Livejournal, which has links to everyone else's pictures.

Me with Alan Tudyk. Yes I stood in line to get autographs. I don't think I will do it next year, because it makes me feel like the "creepy" kind of fan. I do have to say that after three days straight of crazy fans, both Alan Tudyk and Andy Hallett still had great attitudes.

I am sure I forgot quite a bit, so there may be another DragonCon post later.

WOW! GREAT PICS! I especially like Arnolds fairy costume and your queen of hearts ensemble! Looks like you had a FABULOUS time.
I have adopted a kitten. I have named him Newton because, as young as he is, he has grasped the concept of gravity, and does not like to be lifted off the ground! He has his own room (the one that is NOT carpeted) while I am at school. Talk 2u later.

Hehe, I like how there's this random picture of a goblin in a Conan throne and it doesn't even get a comment.
D*Con is awesome.
But still, not as awesome as a strawberry GayUigi cake. That was totally hysterical.
Going to DragonCon with you guys was GREAT! I hope we can make it a regular thing for years to come!
