So...Yeah

A thing or two has happened since my last update.

I went to Vegas with mom for my graduation present. We had an awesome time, though our feet might disagree. We mostly walked everywhere. We took the monorail a couple of times. We hit almost every casino on the strip and gamble $1 down to a penny so we could get the vouchers for our scrapbook. At one point I was up to $17 and it took me forever to lose and get my $0.01 voucher. We saw O and The Blue Man Group, both of which were extremely awesome. If I were to describe either one of them, you stop reading the blog due to length. We stayed at the Bellagio. It was the best hotel as far as I could tell. It was gorgeous, not tacky. It had beautiful gardens and art work. And it had this little Patisserie that made the best crepes ever. It even had the fountain show. We thought we found "downtown" nostalgic Las Vegas at the North end of the strip but we were wrong. It isn't on the strip at all. By the time we figured this out, our feet hurt so much that we decided to save that for another trip. All and all Vegas was a blast, we had not one major issue. The food was fantastic ( except for the Bellagio's one bad mark- their cafe), the shows were outstanding and the company could not have been better.

I graduated college, which was special due to the people who showed up for it and the people who wanted to show up for it. The event itself was a bit anticlimactic as I spent 5 years working towards walking across a stage for 30 seconds. President Barker gave the same speech he always does. We had to stand so long for the procession and the flag and the anthem that my toes went numb (mostly because of the shoes I was wearing. I did manage not to fall on my ass while walking, which was a plus. I missed the Elroy acrobatics show in the audience. It was quite awesome when they called my name and it sounded like I had 20 or 30 people in the audience instead of 7. I felt bad for the people who had no one clap for them. We had lunch at the Olive Garden. We were smart and booked it to Anderson while everyone else was taking pictures. We got seated fairly quickly. We took pictures outside the Olive Garden. We did a grad dinner the night before for those who were in town. Between the two, I made out like a bandit, which isn't the point of graduation but is always fun none the less.

I moved to Charleston. Well, North Charleston to be exact. Mom and I packed all of Wednesday afternoon. She drank coffee and took a Dristan for her cold and somehow packed up the rest of my apartment in like 3 hours while I was still working on my bedroom. The plan was to pack all of the stuff I wanted to keep into my car, Arnold's car and mom's truck. Sherry came over that morning to help and we had it all packed up by noon. I didn't realize how much crap I have. After 3 dump runs and 2 Salvation Army runs, I still managed to fill all three vehicles. The drive was more or less uneventful. We unpacked mom's truck and actually made it to Queen Anne's on time for our reservation. It was yummy except for Mom's fish, which they kindly took off the bill. Mom left early the next morning to drive back to Florida.

Arnold and I spent Sunday unpacking and trying to fit all of my crap into his apartment. We actually did. I thought I was going to have to get a storage building. I spent the next two days doing paperwork for my new job.

So now all I have to do is kill roughly 9 weeks til my job starts.

I have to wonder why white harlequin has to communicate with you via blog. Wouldn't it be easier to walk into the next room to talk to you? :)
Anyway, graduation sounded like a blast. If you're looking for something to do, you could always come to the thriving metropolis of Man, WV and visit me!
