Down with the Sickness
So, on Monday morning, as I was leaving to go to Albany, GA for business trip, I noticed I had a bit of chest congestion. By Tuesday I was sick as a dog with nasal and chest congestion, fever, headache, and backache. I spent all of Wednesday in the hotel room with Sudafed not doing its job. I tried to go back to the base Thursday when I was feeling better to do my part for the field work, but I got benched. Friday I drove home and saw a doctor. After a white blood cell count and a chest x-ray, he told me I had the flu, to take Mucinex and rest for a day and I would be fine. The Mucinex didn't work. Nothing came up. "Mucinex in, Mucus out" my ass. I still cough and it feels like steel wool polka dancing in my chest.Stupid doctor.

I sympathize with ya, Beth. I'm sure Arnold's told you that I also awoke on Monday feeling a bit unwell. I didn't make much of it until that night when I started shivering despite several layers and blankets. So, I loaded up on Ibuprofen, Robitussin, and Claritin for good measure. I took everything again the moment their effects were said to fade. My brother offered me some Mucinex, too, which seemed to help me a little. Hard to tell with the Robitussin.
I'm pretty much over it now, thank goodness. I realize there's nothing fantastic about my regimen, but I offer it anyway. Rest as well as you can, and I will be thinking about you.
You must be sick if you have mucus coming out of your ass! ;) Actually I LIVE on Mucinex in the winter. It usually works really well, but you need to make sure you get the GREEN package, not the BLUE! I think your grandma's getting it too! We've had really low attendance at school because of it, so you're in good company! Maybe now that you have to slow down abit you can update your blog a little more! :) Just kidding. Take care of yourself.
