Dancing

So I usually never, ever dance, with the exception of the occasional happy dance when something goes well. And that really isn't dancing so much as wiggling in a happy manor. But some friends of ours invited us to an SCA event last weekend. SCA a pre-1600 recreation group. Arnold and I did all kinds of dancing from1600 and before. They had instructors to show you how to do each dance and they even had live musicians. It was awesome. I had even made a costume for the event that was comfortable to dance in (see picture below). The costume was simple, but I only had two days to make it and I think it turned out splendidly. Arnold also debuted his hella cool new hat that he made to go with his hella cool new Harlequin costume.

Also at the event was a game called Kubb (pronounced koob). Essentially you throw sticks at bigger sticks in order to knock them down. It was alot of fun to watch and Arnold and Jay came in second. I look forward to playing it when the weather cooperates and Arnold and Greg can make us a set.
