Fifteen Hours and 90 days
So, everyone said that the last semester would be a cake walk. Everyone lied. I haven't been this busy since sophomore year and the second round "weed out " courses. Did I mention that I am only taking 15 hours. I am busier now than when I was taking 18. It may have something to do with the fact that, while it is 15 hours, it is 7 classes. Admittedly 5 hours of it are voluntary. However, I had to have at least 12 to keep my insurance, so taking the extra hours wasn't completely a masochistic decision.
Anyway, I went to the career fair and gave out 7 resumes. A few companies looked interested. If I went by the companies at the job fair alone, I'm most likely to end up in or near Atlanta. While this is still in the south, it is not Clemson and it is not the "armpit of culture". A few companies had offices all over the country, so I guess I could end up anywhere. The prospect is both scary and exciting. I am looking other places than the career fair. I posted my resume on Monster.com, which thus far is a total bust. I grabbed a Charleston paper last time I was down there to look at the classifieds and today I am going to apply online for a job with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This doesn't seem like enough possibilities to actually get me a job, so I'll hopefully figure out a few more avenues hopefully. I only have 90 days to graduation.
That is life of Beth right now.
