Hmmm...

Two months may be the longest I've gone without posting. But it could be worse. Hope only posts on major holidays. Life is ever busy. I have been on travel for the past week and a half and I will be on travel every other week until the middle of June. All the travel is for a project I despise. It is only tolerable because of the people I am working with and they are retiring in September. This is an annual project, so while this year is hard, next year will be hell. At least it pays well and I am getting project management experience.

Quite a lot has happened since the last post. I went to Hawaii for the aforementioned project. Not as much fun as you'd think as it was 34 hours of total travel time and we spent 4.5 days in a room with no windows working. The few hours we did get on the last day where fun. A group of us went up to the North Shore.

I believe I have found a place to live in Jacksonville, as long as they have a first floor apartment available in July.

We've been to two gaming conventions, Stellarcon and Roundcon. I actually gamed at the first, which I rarely do. We also stayed up until 2:00 AM just "shooting the shit". That was probably my favorite part. Conversations with creative people get incredibly entertaining at 2:00 AM. I won't type out a transcript, but suffice it to say that a person walked in, heard one phrase Arnold said, did a 180 degree turn and walked right back out of the gaming room. I played nothing but board games at the second con and that was quite a lot of fun as well. I must have played 20 different games. I even won one or two.

The frequency of posts isn't likely to increase anytime soon as I spend most of my days on site visits for work, most of my nights in a hotel room entering data for work and half my weekends traveling to and from site visits for work. Oh well. Like I said, at least it pays well.

Oh, and yes, there are penguins in to Hawaii.
